Physical-infrastructure discovery

See the network without calling it trusted.

Camera-Location, also known as Hidden Canopy Network Discovery, is a local utility for finding cameras, NVRs, radios, switches, edge hosts, and legacy devices while preserving the evidence and uncertainty needed for a real physical attribution decision.

The boundary

Device seen on the network ≠ trusted device. Discovery creates evidence. It does not grant authorization, assign legitimacy, or make a reachable device a safe remediation target.

What it can investigate

Physical context, collected without collapsing uncertainty.

The local desktop workflow brings together bounded observations from the network and operator-confirmed location context.

State distinctions

Observation is the beginning, not the verdict.

Declared state What an operator, site record, or facility says should exist.
Observed state What the network and discovery protocols report at a particular time.
Verified state What an operator has physically or independently confirmed.
Authorized state What a governance layer has permitted for a declared purpose.

IP address is not durable identity. Discovery is not authorization. Reachable is not safe.
